Eat before Dynamo — same square

Dynamo is the heaviest stage in the city: metal, hardcore, punk and ska-punk almost every week, plus late nights running from dub to hardcore techno, gaming evenings and Queerhoven. It is a youth centre as well, so there is traffic in and out during the day too.

Early start, early dinner

Watch the times: Dynamo often opens doors at 18:30 with the first band on at 19:00 — a full hour earlier than most venues. If you want to eat first, be at the table around 17:15, and then it is a walk around the corner to Catharinaplein.

On a concert night the hall is empty by half eleven. Club nights run later; we are still here for those too.

Two minutes

Kerkstraat opens onto Catharinaplein. It is a walk of a hundred metres or so — shorter than the cloakroom queue. No reservation, no fuss: walk in, eat, go to the show.
