Eight evenings every November
Where to eat during GLOW Eindhoven
GLOW takes over the city centre. We are on Kerkstraat, right inside that area — and after a few kilometres in the November cold, a burger is not a luxury.
Nine days every October
Nine days of design across the whole city. We are in the centre, walking distance from the downtown venues and close to the station.
Dutch Design Week is the largest design event in northern Europe: nine days, more than a hundred locations, empty factories and studios opening their doors to work by thousands of designers. The centre of gravity is Strijp-S and Strijp-T, but the city centre is part of it too, and almost everyone arrives through it.
DDW is mostly a daytime programme — most locations close around six. That means walking, looking, walking again, and eating somewhere along the way. We are on Kerkstraat, two minutes from Catharinaplein and a few minutes from Eindhoven Centraal: exactly where you pass when you come back into town from Strijp-S.
No booking, no waiting list. Come in with your DDW wristband on and a model under your arm — that is a normal afternoon for us.
DDW draws visitors from all over the world. Our menu is in Dutch and English, our team speaks English, and there are proper vegetarian options alongside the classics. Have a look at the menu before you come, or just walk in — that works here too.
The city is busy for nine days straight. Coming with a group of colleagues or fellow students? Send us a mail and we will keep it in mind.
The practical bit
Opening hours
Eight evenings every November
GLOW takes over the city centre. We are on Kerkstraat, right inside that area — and after a few kilometres in the November cold, a burger is not a luxury.
One weekend every October
The finish is on Vestdijk, one block from our door. We are open on the Sunday, all afternoon.
Every June, with the parade on the Saturday
The parade comes down Kerkstraat. You do not have to walk any further than that.
