Eight evenings every November

Where to eat during GLOW Eindhoven

GLOW takes over the city centre. We are on Kerkstraat, right inside that area — and after a few kilometres in the November cold, a burger is not a luxury.

For eight evenings the centre of Eindhoven turns into an open-air museum of light. Artists from the Netherlands and abroad project onto facades, bridges and the water of the river Dommel, and you walk past all of it along one route. It is free, it is outdoors, and there are no tickets — you simply step into it.

A stop halfway round

The route is long. Count on roughly five kilometres, in November, in the dark. Most people do not walk it in one go: they split the evening in two and duck inside somewhere in between. Kerkstraat sits in the middle of the area GLOW plays out in, a few minutes from the Markt and Stratumseind, so it is not a detour.

The exact route changes every year — the organisers publish it on the official site shortly before the festival opens. What does not change: we are open, and you do not need to book.

Worth knowing

GLOW starts around half past six in the evening and runs until about eleven. On festival evenings streets in the centre close to through traffic, so come on foot, by bike or by public transport. Eat early and you are at the table well before dark; come later and it is busy in the good way.

We are open seven days a week. Just walk in — groups too, though from ten people up it helps if you drop us a mail first.
