8 minutes on foot
Dinner before a gig at the Effenaar
Eight minutes from Dommelstraat. Doors at half seven, so the timing works out.
Venue / stage
The Klokgebouw is at Strijp-S. We are in the centre — useful before the event, or after it if you head into town.
The Klokgebouw is the old Philips factory hall at Strijp-S, now an event venue: concerts, dance nights, trade fairs, markets, and during Dutch Design Week one of the busiest locations in the city. Together the halls hold thousands of visitors.
From Kerkstraat to the Klokgebouw is a little over two kilometres — too far to nip back and forth, but easy by bike, on bus 401 or 402, or by train to Strijp-S station. If you arrive in the centre and are heading on to an evening event, eat with us around six and you are there in plenty of time.
Afterwards it works less well: you are at Strijp-S, and Strijp-S has its own bars. We are the place for the way there, not the way back.
For fairs, markets and Dutch Design Week it flips: those run during the day and finish around six, after which everyone comes back into town. That is exactly when we are the nearest part of the centre with a kitchen still open.
